It’s over 2 months since the last show and share concluded the previous phase and boy how things have moved on…
Firstly Fraser has waved goodbye to City of Lincoln Council however he has boomeranged back to continue supporting the project in a different capacity having recently joined Made Tech. He’s still more than happy to talk all things relating to online repairs – he doesn’t know it yet but I’m hoping he’ll guest to run a short section of the next show and share as I’m on leave just before hand 🙂
Taking over as product lead (and the website updates) is me – Kristin McIntosh of Newark and Sherwood District Council (waves hello). I’m the Digital Solutions Team Leader which means I have responsibility for the teams that look after our housing systems, website and development.
City of Lincoln remain heavily involved in the project and it’s a pleasure to be working with Wendy Banks and the other involved Councils for the next project stage.
What’s been happening…
Since March we have secured funding from the Local Digital Fund for the next phase and we are very pleased that Made Tech will continue to be our development partner. Our development plan covers the following product developments:
- Ability to amend appointments
- Ability to cancel appointments
- leaseholders repairs appointment booking
- Communal space repair booking
- Prove ease of replication with another deployment
- Investigation of integration opportunities with housing management system providers
Additionally throughout this phase we will be investigating and developing the future vision for ongoing management and development of the product in a self-supporting way to ensure it best serves the open license approach of the project.
Lincoln launched live at the end of April with promotion of the service starting from mid May. All is going well so far.
The phase kicked off on 16th May with Sprint 1 now underway. I’d love to tell you more and share some stats about how Lincoln’s live service is performing but that would spoil the Sprint 1 Show and Share which will take place on Tuesday 7th June at 11am.
I hope to see you on the 7th.
